UNDERGRADUATE and GRADUATE students: all participants will meet on ZOOM beginning at 5:00. CHECK-IN’s (brief comments by each individual) begin as soon as all students are present or 5:15, whichever is first. Core content is derived from (but not limited to) the class website.
Each student will also meet with the instructor during the semester for individual mentoring/project development sessions.

In Art and Organism we will discuss ART and SCIENCE, their fundamental relations and reciprocity. We begin with how we perceive and express art in terms of its development, ecology, evolution, and physiology. After a general introduction to the biological aspects of art and aesthetic experience, specific issues selected by participants will be explored and discussed in depth. UT Knoxville Campus
