ARTIST’s STATEMENT. In 1979 I had moved from The National Institute of Health (I post-doc’d at Paul D.MacLean’s Laboratory of Brain Evolution and Behavior) to the University of Tennessee. Determined to be an exemplary member of the welcoming community (Departments of Zoology and Psychology) I attended the weekly departmental seminars. Learned the interests of collegaues (this would lead to rewarding collaboraions over the years) and settled in. My habit of doodling while note-taking resurfaced.
My notebooks were always saved & I’ve found hundreds of doodles, but some wagged the dog and became more developed over a course of a few weeks. Most had something on the seminar presentation’s content interwoven.
Here I’m posting a few favorites.
